In my last review I said it would be hard for this band to top their debut album; however they have proved me wrong. Blind Faith Loyalty combines what they have done in the past and adds to it many new elements as well. This new disc has a much better production than the last, especially on the snare drum. This time around the drums are very prominent in the mix and clear as well. The whole disc has one of the cleanest sounds I’ve heard in the new age thrash, a true testament to the producer of the album.
The band has had some lineup changes and list their recording lineup on the disc packaging itself. The changes are definitely for the better, because the band now sounds tighter than ever. The dueling solos and riffs seem to stand out more on this disc than the last, and seem better placed. The biggest improvement is in Chris Renaldi’s vocals, who seems to have stepped up to a new level in the band. Not only does he proved a unique mid-range and some growls, he also adds some great high, falsetto notes as well. All three of these styles are best showcased in “Finality” and also in “Drawing the Parallel.” These give me chills back to the old days of good thrash and are my favorite tracks on the album. These guys have a distinct style, which they are willing to employ throughout the whole disc. Any thrash fan should feel incomplete without giving these guys a few listens!
