RATING: 10 / 10

I gotta admit this release has been one of my most anticipated for 2008. In 2007 Dominici released part 2 of this trilogy, and it left me absolutely speechless. When Part 3 dropped at my door, I immediately popped it into the CD player and awaited the 1st note. Would this live up to the hype I've built up in my mind, or would this be a major let down? Holy shit are you kidding me? This is everything Part 2 brought to the table and MORE! This is Prog Metal I absolutely go bonkers for! Part 3 is filled with 8 songs that will simply knock you on your ass! Starting off with "King Of Terror" Charlie and Company set the pace to let you know exactly what to expect for the remaining hour plus all the way to the albums conclusion with "Genesis"! For starters Charlies voice just gets better and better! Who would ever thought that after his stint in Dream Theater he would come back with such a Vengeance. His backing band has got to be some of the best musicians in the Progressive Metal community. A lot of Prog Metal seems to have long songs just for the sake of being long to say "hey we're progressive". When a song can be 8 and 10 minutes long, and you say "its over already?" you know something was done right. Other than the band sounding as top notch as ever, and Charlie singing better than ever, this album is polished off with an AMAZING production that leaves the ears yearning for more, and more. When the the last note hit, I was like "No"! I could listen to this stuff all day. Theres even a song called "So Help Me God" that starts off with a beautiful acoustic guitar, and kicks into a wonderful mid tempo ballad. Part 3 is filled with so many technical riffs, but never loses sight of the groove, and the sight for the song itself. So when I reflect back on this album everything is here. Top notch production, stellar riffs, and musicianship, killer vocals, and strong melodies. The only bad thing I can say about this release is that I wanted more songs.

Dominci has gone from being the Ex singer of Dream Theater to fronting one of the most elite bands in the Progressive Metal genre. I can't say enough good things about this album. There is not one single flaw to be found, and that is an amazing accomplishment. I can only hope that even though the Trilogy is now complete we can continue to expect more releases from Dominici. Seriously do not even hesitate on this release. I'm assuming if you're reading this review, you are a fan of Progressive Metal, so do yourself a favor, and pick up 03 A Trilogy - Part 3 when you can! WOW.
