This is the self titled album from newly formed band Fires of Babylon.
I was originally going to listen to this album purely because Rob Rock was on it. After hearing it I realized how good it was. Rob Rock never
siezes to fail at being great. In a way it reminded me of a heavier version
of Impellitteri when Rob was with them, just that the guitar work was not as good.
Dont get me wrong the guitar work of "Narnia" player Carl-Johan Grimmark
is great, as well as playing from "Winters Bane" guitarist Lou St. Paul on this release.
Backed up by heavy pounding drums from Bob Falzano who had a short
stint in Annihilator, song after song the band brings to you fast and hard tunes.
Some of my favorite off this album are "Falling to Pieces", "Lake of Fire",
"Castles are Burning", and "Revolution Coming." This is heavy melodic metal
at its finest! I would recommend it to anyone especially the Rob Rock fans out
there.
