RATING: 9 / 10

"Inside Your Head" was an exclusive EP for the first 1000 people who bought their ticket to Dream Theater's concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Quite a shame since this lil EP is quite the gem! Khallice has actually been around for several years, and have a release under their belt with "The Journey". "The Journey" was good but what I thought lacked on that release was the production and parts of the vocals. Khallice must be mind readers because the few flaws I found them to have are now wiped away, and this EP is absolutely brilliant! The production is now crisp, clear, heavy, and with a solid bottom end to it. Vocals are blended perfectly in the mix, and sound incredible. The harmonies alone make this EP worth checking out! What I like about Khallice is even though they are a progressive metal band its not overly done, and the songs flow very well with great catchy melodies, and rhythms. They keys bring great atmosphere, and boy oh boy do the riffs on this badboy rock! Its a shame we are only givin' 5 songs here, but since this isnt an official release, and I assume these songs will find the mark on the next full album I think its a great teaser of whats to come! All 5 songs are top notch, and worthy of checking out.

The Brazilian metal scene just keeps exploding, and Khallice are leaving a presence in the "Progressive Metal" genre. If you are one of the many unfortunate who haven't been able to get this rarity, than head on over to the bands myspace page linked above to hear some samples. They say they are signed to Magna Carta now, and I cannot wait to hear whats on the horizon for these guys! Do yourselves a favor, and check Khallice out. You wont be disappointed.
