When I first saw this band, I had already been a fan of their music. However, seeing them live gave me a better view of their style. As great as they were on their self-titled disc, they brought more emotion and presence in their live set. That night, they easily stole the show from the Iron Maiden tribute band. It was indeed a shame they needed to open for a tribute band, as they do Iron Maiden style music better than any band. That includes Maiden too!
This EP continues their style, but updates their sound. These new tracks are aided by a much better overall sound and mix. This disc reminds me more of Seventh Son in production. It’s crisp and clear, with all instruments being well blended. The band is in top form on the disc as well. They sound just as tight as ever, and the vocals are backed up more than from their first full-length. I must say my favorite track is “Thulsa Doom”, which is a heavy metal track that becomes progressive in the middle and ends with some great dueling leads.
